early in the afternoon.

for the first time in my life since i graduated college,

i'm not hitting the daily grind in a typical 9-5.

mr. wonderful and i both keep odd working hours,

which means we're often at home together early in the day.

we try to take advantage of our time together when most of nashville is working,

especially when the weather outside is unseasonably warm and sunny.

the other day was exactly that, so we took off to check out a local textile shop

where we were told we could find wonderful fabrics for pillow covers {and we did}.

after we had our fill of pouring over gorgeous bolts of different

upholstery materials and embellishments,

we made our way over to our favorite popsicle place for a cool, sweet treat

and a stroll through a nearby park.

i tried a grapefruit pop this time . . . it was refreshingly delicious.

{i've also tried blackberry pineapple, avocado and hot chocolate with chili

during other trips . . . all home runs, in my book.}
